Saturday’s wedding with Shania and Dan at Manchester Art Gallery was one for the books. As a recommended supplier at the gallery, it’s always a joy to shoot there – but this one felt extra special. The city was absolutely buzzing. Not only was the sun beating down in full force (we're talking properly hot), but Oasis were in town playing their hometown show at Heaton Park, so there was this electric sense of energy and anticipation everywhere.
Shania and Dan kept things intentionally intimate, with just 45 of their closest family and friends joining them for the ceremony and wedding meal. It created such a relaxed, warm atmosphere – one of those days where you can feel the love in the room. The speeches were heartfelt and funny, with just the right amount of emotion and storytelling, and the whole day had that lovely laid-back flow you get with smaller weddings.
We had an absolute ball exploring the gallery together for portraits. If you've never had the chance to wander through Manchester Art Gallery in wedding attire, let me tell you – it's magic. The light, the textures, the art – it all comes together in the most incredible way. Shania looked radiant and Dan couldn’t stop smiling – they were a dream to photograph, effortlessly themselves and clearly loving every moment together.
By the time I packed up to leave, the party was just getting into full swing. Music, laughter, a bit of dancing already underway – the perfect ending to a beautiful day. I left with a full heart and a memory card packed with golden moments.

It’s such a unique space, right in the heart of the city, and every wedding there feels a little bit different – a bit more personal, a bit more you.
