Cameron & Daniel - An Elegant Black-Tie Wedding at Dunston Hall - Derbyshire Wedding Photographer

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.

Where do I even begin with Cameron and Daniel’s incredible wedding at Dunston Hall? From the moment I arrived, I could feel the love and excitement in the air – and honestly, I don’t think I stopped smiling all day.

Set in the heart of the Peak District, Dunston Hall was the perfect setting for this absolute dream of a day. The sun was shining, the champagne was flowing, and the whole vibe was effortlessly elegant from start to finish. The dress code was black tie, and both grooms looked completely gorgeous in their double-breasted tuxedos – so classic, so sharp, and so them. The kind of style that makes you do a little happy dance behind the camera (guilty!).

The ceremony was held outside, with the most stunning view overlooking the grounds. It was full of warmth, joy, and those little meaningful glances that remind you what weddings are really about. After saying their vows, guests wandered through the gardens to a relaxed drinks reception – complete with a champagne tower, of course (yes, it was as fabulous as it sounds).

One of my favourite parts of the day was sneaking off with the boys for some golden-hour portraits. The light was perfect, and you could just feel how much they adore each other. Cameron and Daniel have been together for over eight years, and they really are soulmates in every sense of the word. Photographing that kind of connection is honestly the best part of my job.

As the evening rolled in, the speeches had everyone laughing (and crying – myself included), and then it was time to party. And wow – what a party! The incredible Faye Donaldson brought all the vibes with her saxophone and DJ set, and the dance floor was buzzing from the first song to the last.

A huge shoutout to the lovely team (lead by Anna & Macauley!) at Dunston Hall – it’s always such a treat to work with people who care so much and run everything so seamlessly. And I had such a laugh working alongside the amazing Lauren (@contentbylaurenc) who captured all the magic behind the scenes so beautifully.

Cameron and Daniel – thank you for letting me be part of your day. It was an absolute joy from start to finish and just so full of love. I feel so lucky to do this job, and even luckier to meet people like you along the way.

If you’re planning a Peak District wedding and dreaming of something timeless, relaxed, and full of heart – Dunston Hall is a gem, and I’d love to hear all about your plans.
